UPDATED Sept 17, 2003 Found a few new good songs, new one by Fuel called Falls on Me..which no one can seem to get off kazaa, but maybe if someone right clicked SAVE AS they could have it.  Make sure you rename it to the proper file, mmmm peeee threeeeee.

Also a good song that I found, if you like third eye blind, is Conqueror.  Download it off Kazaa, you should be able to get it.  The neat thing is that it is not on any of their albums (unless I am sorely mistaken), but it is on the "A Knight's Tale" Soundtrack.  Check out these lyrics:

Also, Betsinger turned me on to a band called Switchfoot, check out "Dare you to Move".   Pretty badass song. 

Got some "new music." I say new because the songs are new to me.  But anyway lately I have been listening to Evanescence.  I now they aren't that new, but if you have only heard their mainstream song, Bring Me to Life, you are missing out.  This girl can really sing, and she's kind of a hottie too, if you are into that Goth Vampire queen look, which I am.  Check out their songs, My Immortal, Hello, and Taking me Over.  Good stuff too.

Also..check out The Used.  Good vocals and damn fine lyrics.  You may think they are all hardcore or whatever, but listen to "On My Own"  Then say thank you to Blake. 

Not much else in the realm of NEW music that I have been listening to.  Go get the song "Faster" by Third Eye Blind.  I'm listening to it as I write this now.....all I gotta say is WHOA.  Also, it would be cool if some of you offered YOUR good songs.  So far the only one was :

No these aren't songs that I have written.  They are definitely not songs that I could sing either.  These are songs that are the best in the world.  Many of them may be by the same band, especially my favorite band Third Eye Blind.  If you have only heard the mainstream 3EB hits, I encourage you to check out the albums, hell you don't even have to pay for them thanks to the internet.  Pretty much all of the songs that have been mainstream I don't consider all that good.  What style is 3EB you ask?  I would call it Rocketry, (Poetry and Rock)  They still have sweet rhythms and upbeat tempos, but the lyrics are really what make them a winning band. 

I will start out with the best song they have done.

  Motorcycle Driveby.  Best song.  Period.  The mood and rhythm of the song is dynamic, and the lyrics are stellar.  Stephan Jenkin's may have sold his soul to come up with the genius and great message found in this song.  This song can be found on the self-titled album.  If you haven't listen to it please, why not have another song in your favorites list? 

Walking with the Wounded  Another great song.  This was off their experimental sound album, "Blue".  Great message and really sweet sound to it.  Check it out.  

Blinded  The next big single, I'm not sure why it isn't number one yet.  Really sexy, stylish lyrics in this one, with an altogether catchy beat.  Of their new album (which is badass) "Out of the Vein"

Faster- First song on their new album (OTV), this song is a great starter  song for an awesome album.  I've never heard a song that used "Bacchanalian" before.  

My Hit and Run -  Jenkins can do anything songwise with a motorcycle.  This is a great, great song.  I wish I could sing better.

Non-Third Eye Blind Songs 

Let me get off my 3EB soapbox to point out some other sweet songs.  As always, I invite you to send comments on what is a really great song.  Enhance my listening pleasure, please.  

Big Yellow Taxi -  Counting Crows, they are like a cousin to 3EB.  Different style, same "badassness."  This song has a great message and some sweet lyrics.

American Girls  -  Another CC songs, this didn't get as popular as I would thought.  It was about time you girls get a theme song.  This does you justice because American girls are "feathers and cream coming to bed so edible" 

Dear Claudia - the only song I have heard by SouthFM, this is one of those songs you either love it or hate it.  I love the chorus in this; the artist really doesn't hold back in his honesty. 

Perfection Through Silence - Few people can scream at the top of their lungs and still sound good.  FINCH comes through with raw style in this song, which has electrifying beats.  I would also talk about "What it is to Burn" as being very similar. 

I will add more songs to this as the time continues.  There are hundreds on my mind, but being that I am too lazy to list them, then oh well.  If someone sends me a song that I think has potential, it may end up here.  OOOooooOOO.  Yes, hold the applause please.
